WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT DREAMS?
Dreams are the Language of God.
“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” - Acts 2:17 NIV
Dreams are given for the glory of God.
“But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth" - Exodus 9:16
Dreams are never too BIG for God.
“For nothing is impossible with God. “ - Luke 1:37
WHat hinders our GOD-SIZED DREAMS?
We lose track of where we should be looking.
“Look straight ahead. Fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.” - Proverbs 4:25-27
We lose track of who’s we are.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” - Ephesians 2:10
We lose track of who God is.
“Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.” - Jeremiah 32:17
WHAT DOES A GOD-SIZED DREAM LOOK LIKE?
A God-Sized dream will seem impossible.
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” - Hebrews 11:6
A God-Sized dream will require more God and less you.
“Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]" - Ephesians 3:20
A God-Sized dream will point to God and not to you.
“It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.” - Ephesians 1:11-12

The responsibilities of life and the agenda of the current culture have a way of choking back our hope for the impossible and diminishing our dreams. But that itch in your heart to do something great - to be known, to leave an impact, to bring change - was put there for a reason.
God created you to have purpose, to leave an impact, to bring change, to dream.
It isn’t to add more to your resumé. It isn’t to see your name in lights or a long string of zeroes in your bank account. It isn’t to have the most likes on Facebook, receiving a checkmark for becoming an influencer on Instagram, or having your TikTok account go viral. GOD KNOWS THE PLANS HE HAS FOR YOU.

GOD’S PLANS FOR YOU ARE GOD-SIZED. YOUR PURPOSE IS GOD-SIZED. SO, DREAM GOD-SIZED DREAMS.

GOD-SIZED DREAMS EMBRACE THE GREAT COMMISSION.
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19
GOD-SIZED DREAMS PURSUE THE GOOD THAT GOD DESIRES.
“The Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” - Micah 6:8
GOD-SIZED DREAMS ARE DONE FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.
“Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.” - Colossians 3:17
GOD-SIZED DREAMS REFINE US AND MAGNIFY OUR CREATOR.

NOTHING CAN STAND IN THE WAY OF GOD-SIZED DREAMS.

GOD-SIZED DREAMS DO NOT FAIL.

God calls us to emerge from Death into Life.

God calls us to Emerge from troubles into truth.
“Because he who is blessed in the earth will be blessed by the God of truth; and he who swears in the earth will swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from My sight.” - Isaiah 65:16
God calls us to Emerge from Bondage into Adoption.
“So also we, while we were children, were held in bondage under the elemental things of the world. God calls us to Emerge from darkness into forgiveness.
“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” - Colossians 1:13-14
God calls us to Emerge from the past into looking ahead.

God calls us to Emerge from our Sin into life in Christ.

God calls us to Emerge from our Old way of life into a new way of life.

God calls us to emerge from living for self into living in faith.

It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. Are you living out Freedom how God intended?
Whether it’s in reference to religious freedom, freedom of speech, or any of the many constitutional freedoms we feel entitled to as Americans, freedom is a culturally hot topic right now. It would be easy for us to jump into the muddied waters of the current cultural climate with our own understandings, definitions, and preconceived ideas of what our freedom means to us. But as Christians, it is our obligation to filter our understandings through the mind of Christ.
Whether it’s in reference to religious freedom, freedom of speech, or any of the many constitutional freedoms we feel entitled to as Americans, freedom is a cultural hot topic right now. It would be easy for us to jump into the muddied waters of the current cultural climate with our own understandings, definitions, and preconceived ideas of what our freedom means to us. But as Christians, it is our obligation to filter our understandings through the mind of of Christ.
